Chapter 21

Both girls giggled profusely as they set about fluffing the ruffles and straightening the dress on me. Sarah buttoned it up the back, then got a hair bow and the hairbrush of Stacey's dresser and set to work on my hair, while Stacey applied a bit of makeup. I realized I had just become a living version of a baby doll for them.

Finally they finished, and both stared at me for a moment. Finally, Stacey broke the silence. "Jeez. You could really pass for a girl!"

"Not only that," Sarah added, "He could pass as a girl your sister's age. Maybe even younger! Too bad we can't take him out."

"Who says we can't?" My eyes widened at Stacey's question.

"Oh, come on, Stacey! Everyone would know!" Sarah retorted.

"Yeah...I guess you're right. Let's get him out of the dress and put him down for his nap for now," she said, starting to unbutton the dress. Sarah helped, and in another five minutes, I was laying in the crib in just my damp diaper, sucking on a bottle of watermelon juice. I heard Stacey tell Sarah as they left the room that the watermelon juice was sure to make me wet like a river.

They were right too, because about halfway through the hour long nap, I awoke to hear Sally get home, and a huge need to pee. I emptied my bladder into my diaper, completely saturating it. Sally came in just as I finished, and noticed the yellow tinge and heaviness of the diaper.

"Aww - poor Baby is soaked!" she coed at me, seeing I was awake. "You can't be comfortable enough to sleep in that wet diaper, can you?" Without waiting for an answer, she put the side of the crib down, and undid the diaper tapes. I lifted up as she pulled the diaper out from under me, then lay on my back with my feet up in the air, exposing my bottom while she cleaned me with a baby wipe and applied baby powder. It was more embarrassing to spread my legs and let her clean that area, and apply baby powder there as well.

"Hey!" said Stacey, coming in. "I wanted to change him!"

"Well he was soaked," Sally told her. "He's gonna get diaper rash if you keep leaving him in wet diapers like that!" I thought it was funny - Sally was supposed to be learning from Stacey, but it looked like it was the other way around. Stacey hadn't even changed a messy diaper yet. Not that I was complaining; Sally did a much better job of changing my diapers anyway.

Stacey decided to take back over as teacher at this junction. "Well if he is getting diaper rash, use this," she said, reaching under the changing table and then handing a tube to Sally. I tried to read what it said as she looked it over. "Desitin Diaper Rash Cream". Sally squirted a bit out into her hand, and massaged it in between my legs. It did help the raw, itchy feeling I had had there lately. It also did something else.

"Uh-oh. Better get a diaper on him fast," Sarah said as she watched from the doorway. Sally stopped massaging the diaper rash cream in and smacked the inside of my thigh. "Hey! Babies aren't supposed to do that!"

"Oh I've seen other baby boys do that," Stacey said. "Even as babies they are like that!" The three girls giggled, as I blushed. At least she would be able to get the diaper on me now. She slid one under me as  Stacey lifted my bottom for her, and the two of them drew the diaper up between my legs and fastened it.  Stacey reached under the table and brought out a pair of pink plastic pants. She shook them out, and handed them to a giggling Sally. Sally put my feet through the leg openings, and drew the panties up over my diaper. When she finished she checked to make sure all of the diaper was tucked inside the panties.

"These probably aren't really necessary with disposable diapers," Sally said, "But they are fun anyway." I blushed more as she patted my bottom loudly. I was then once again put into the dress, much to Sally's delight, since she hadn't seen it yet, and they took me to the kitchen and I sat in the highchair now without even being told to. Sarah fed me this time, and gave me Gerber bananas.

"If those make him fill his diaper, YOU'RE changing him!" Stacey told her.

"He'll have gone home before that happens," Sarah said, then added, "Besides, I wouldn't really mind."

"You would about the time you got his diaper open," Sally giggled, but Sarah wasn't really listening, nor was I.

Chapter 22

After the feeding, we went back to Stacey's bedroom, and Stacey and Sarah helped me with my homework. Sally stayed awhile, then finally went to her bedroom, bored with the homework I had to do. At 5:15, my mother showed up to get me. By then, they had already taken the dress and plastic panties off me.

I hugged my babysitters goodbye, Sarah once again buckling me into my car seat. She gave me a kiss on the cheek before closing the car door. My mother didn't miss it either, teasing me on the way home by asking if I was getting myself a "little girlfriend". For my part, I wasn't really sure. Sarah seemed to like me; so did Jennifer. And both had promised to free me from Stacey's constant humiliation. But, would they like me still once I got out of diapers? And, would they like me past the "Baby" part?

At home, it was once again the same routine of supper in my high chair, diaper changes, the playpen, and to bed in my crib. I had a night time bottle of apple juice as I went to sleep.

The next morning, I found I was used to the routine. My mother sent me to breakfast, Which my sister fed me, then changed my diaper and dressed me for school. My teeth were brushed, hair combed, and before I knew it I was on the bus with Stacey and Sarah again. "I wish we were babysitting you every afternoon," Stacey commented, reminding me that I only went to her house on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This afternoon my sister would be home to watch me.

At school, Jennifer was waiting with Genelle, Polly, and Kelly by my locker. Stacey was walking me to my locker, and I watched the two engage in an icy stare down. Since Jennifer had all her group with her, Stacey finally turned about 10 feet from my locker. "See you at Lunch, Baby," she said, walking away.

When I got to the locker, Jennifer looked at the other girls, apparently giving them some kind of signal, and they all left us alone. As alone as you can be in a crowded school hallway anyway. "Does baby have a dry diaper?" Jennifer asked me as greeting.

"JENNIFER!" I looked all around us, embarrassed. "Someone might hear!" I said.

"And the only reason they would know it was more than a joke was the way YOU reacted," she said. Seeing my embarrassment, she said calmingly, "Relax. No one is paying attention to us. Look, everyone is going to figure out something is up with you if you don't learn how to deal with this a little better. You're nervous as a cat. It's really very easy to get away with wearing diapers in school and not get caught."

"How would you know?" I moped.

She gazed at me a minute. "I DO know," she said finally. "I can't tell you why, but I DO know. And before you go jumping to conclusions, NO, I don't wear diapers." She turned and went down the hall with that. What was THAT all about, I wondered.

Before I had time to think about it much more, a familiar voice cut through the hall. "Hey, Slickster!"

      "Hey, Leroy," I said unenthusiastically.

      "Slickster! It worked," Leroy said.

      "What worked?"

"That advice you gave me." He sighed at my questioning look. "YOU know! About acting like you don't care, and that gets the girls," Leroy explained. He went on before I had a chance to point out that I never actually SAID that. "I acted like I didn't care all day yesterday, then I asked Helena out this morning, and it worked!"

"Leroy...Helena will go out with ANYONE," I said.

"You're just jealous," Leroy decided after considering my statement. We started walking towards homeroom.

"No, really, I went out with her a couple months ago," I told him. "Now I know WHY she'll go out with anyone." It wasn't completely true - Helena was an ok date, but I couldn't let Leroy get the best of me.

"Probably just YOU who was the problem. I'll let you know after I go out with her Friday night," he said, and took off running before my math book could make contact with his head.

Chapter 23

True to her word, Stacey did come and meet me at the nurse’s office after my diaper change to walk me to lunch, once again beating out Jennifer. The way the tables were set up in the cafeteria, only four people could sit at the table where Sarah and Stacey usually dragged me off to. This time I was sitting beside Sarah, with my back to the rest of the lunchroom, so I had no idea what Jennifer’s reaction was to this. I also didn’t see disaster coming until it was already at the table with us.

“Hey Slickster!” Leroy pulled out the chair next to Stacey and sat down with his lunch tray. He appeared ready to stay the whole lunch period. Although I was not extremely pleased with this predicament (given Stacey’s usual treatment of me), I actually had to hold back a laugh at the look on my tormentor’s face. Stacey’s mouth was hanging open as she stared disbelievingly at Leroy. Some other sixth grade girls went by, giggling at Stacey when they saw Leroy beside her. For the first time, I saw STACEY blush, and she looked down at her tray, giving great consideration to her food, staring at her lunch tray the rest of the Lunch period. Leroy didn’t seem to notice his unwanted presence, talking animatedly (mostly by himself) through the half hour. Both Sarah and Stacey were studiously ignoring him, while I did my best to look at least somewhat interested in his ramblings.

He took off quickly at the bell, leaving me and Sarah and Stacey alone finally. Stacey heaved a huge sigh and rolled her eyes. “Tomorrow,” she said, “we either get someone else to sit with us or we get RID of that fourth chair!” Then she looked at me, and for once, she appeared to actually be worried about my feelings. “Look,” she said. “I’m sorry; I know he’s your friend, but he is really annoying.” I didn’t answer- I was too surprised by her show of concern.

Stacey left, leaving Sarah to walk me to my locker. “She’s trying to be nicer,” Sarah said when I asked about Stacey’s comment. “I told her that if she isn’t careful, you might ask your Mom to make Jennifer your babysitter. She doesn’t live all that far from you either.”

That was something I hadn’t thought about before! Then I realized it wouldn’t work. “Jennifer is on the cheerleading squad,” I said. “They practice after school, she couldn’t do it.”

Sarah rolled her eyes. “I know that, and YOU know that, but Stacey never thought of it,” she giggled. “Besides, I wasn’t serious – you think I want to lose you?”

“You could go over to Jennifer’s too.”

Sarah shook her head. “Stacey’s my best friend. I’d never just up and leave her like that. She’s not really that bad, just misdirected. She’s never babysat a big ba … someone like you before.” Sarah blushed a bit at what she almost called me.

“I’ve been called worse,” I said, trying to make her feel better.

“It’s just that neither of us are extremely sure of what we are doing,” Sarah said. “We’ve never had to take care of a “baby” your size … Stacey acts all sure of herself, but she doesn’t really know what she’s doing either. So she makes up for her insecurity about it by making fun and embarrassing you.”

By this time we were at my locker. “See you later,” Sarah said, and went to class. Immediately I was greeted by the familiar:

“Hey, Slickster!” Leroy came running up. “Sorry about cutting in on you at lunch,” he said, “But you said yourself that you didn’t ask for Sarah or Stacey. I was just helping you out.”

“Uh huh,” I answered.  Yeah, right.

“Anyway, did Stacey say anything about me after I left? Like ask you if I was going out with anyone?” Leroy went on.

“Umm… I don’t think she likes you too much, Leroy,” I said, hoping not to disappoint him TOO much.

“Damn! What about the other chick – Sarah?” he inquired.

“I think you ought to stick with a sure thing – your date with Helena Friday,” I said. “Remember her?”

“No harm in playing the field a bit,” Leroy defended himself. “YOU sure as hell are.”

I shrugged, knowing the ball was in my court, and not about to drop it on my toes. “Hey – some of us got it,” I said.

“The question is what IT is,” Leroy said, heading off to class. This left me to think over what Sarah had said about Stacey not being sure of herself in caring for me. It made a lot of sense … and it gave me an idea.

Chapter 24

That afternoon I went home after school (in my usual bus seat next to Sarah and Stacey – Jennifer was at a cheerleader meeting), to find my sister all ready to take care of me. My pants were off from almost the minute I walked through the door, and I was whisked back to my nursery for a quick diaper change, and then into my crib for a nap. I almost missed my three young babysitters, at least they took time to talk to me and, in the case of Sally, play with me. Compared with them, my sister was actually a rather boring babysitter.

After my nap, I sat at my desk in my diapers and did my homework, having a little bit of trouble without Sarah and Stacey to help me, but getting through it anyway.

“So, wonder what we are gonna do about Friday?” my sister said suddenly from behind me.

I turned around. “What do you mean?”

“Friday is a three day weekend day,” my sister said. “Teacher in service day at YOUR school.  I still have to go to school though. Can Stacey and Sarah watch you then?”

“I don’t know, I didn’t realize we were off,” I said, surprised.  Usually I would be right on top of that, but the events of the last few days had apparently thrown me off a bit. But, this added more ideas to my plan. My sister seemed to pick up that I was scheming.

“You better not be trying to think of a way to get out of diapers,” she mistakenly assumed. “That will just get you into more trouble.”

“No, that’s not it at all…”

My sister surprised me then by actually being interested in what I was thinking. So I told her about all of Stacey’s actions lately. She surprised me even more by being concerned over them.

“How could she do that!?” she exclaimed angrily. “She should know better than to do that!”

“That’s just it,” I explained. “She doesn’t. And how could she know, really? None of them have ever had to babysit a ‘baby’ my age before. Not like the girls at the Mall Daycare at all,” I leaked a bit of my plan to my sister.

“Why didn’t you tell Mom before what was happening to you?” my sister asked, not catching on to the plan yet. “She wouldn’t want all that to happen to you, not really. She wants you to be disciplined, but not abused! Stacey is abusing you.”

I thought about it. “I guess,” I said finally, “I really do like Stacey.  And I like Sarah a lot. I guess I don’t really want to get them in trouble.”

My sister’s eyebrows went up. “You like Sarah ‘a lot’?” she giggled. “My little baby brother has his first crush,” she teased. “So, why do you bring up the Mall Daycare?” she went on. “I THINK I know what you are planning, but I want to hear it first.”

“I don’t know if this will all go together right,” I said, “But here it all is.”  I explained what I wanted to do, with her adding a couple thoughts here and there.

“Okay, so here is the final idea,” my sister said finally. “Friday, you get Sarah to come over and be a baby with you, so she can learn to be a better babysitter. You hope to get Jennifer to come over to babysit you both, the only problem with that being that Jennifer has never been the baby, but, we can try to get that past Mom. She’ll probably be a bit desperate for a babysitter anyway. Then on Saturday, Stacey will have to be the baby with you, with Sarah babysitting you both, with help from Jennifer if she is available. On Sunday, Sally will be a baby with you, with Sarah And Stacey watching you both. If any of them disagree, they won’t get to babysit you anymore, but you are already sure Sarah will do it?”

“I’m not SURE, no,” I said. “I’m PRETTY sure though.”

“Then we only need to get it by Mom, and by their parents,” my sister said. “Actually, WE only need to get Mom to buy it. She’ll talk to their parents about it.”

I was really surprised that my sister was going to help me. What an unlikely ally. I thanked her though, and waited to see what my Mom would think.

Chapter 25

To my utter amazement, my mother agreed immediately, then actually apologized to me for what I had to go through. “You should have told me what they were doing,” she told me.

I explained to her that Sally wasn’t that bad, and Sarah had become a friend, which caused her to smile and suggest that perhaps Sarah was a lot more than just a “friend”. She also told me that she had already been thinking about asking at least Stacey to go through the type of training the girls at the Mall Tykes Daycare had to go through; now she would demand it.

That evening, armed with the phone and a school phone book, my mother got in touch with Jennifer and her parents, Sarah and her parents, and then Stacey and Sally’s parents. I could hear Stacey’s mother on the phone all the way from across the room, and I had a feeling Stacey would not be overjoyed with me tomorrow morning.

When she finished on the phone, she told me it was all set up – and what was more, Jennifer said she would come and be a baby Thursday night. She would stay the night then, and then be there to babysit me and Sarah in the morning. After that, she told my sister she had to talk to her for a minute and they disappeared into my sister’s bedroom.

A few minutes later they emerged, and my eyes about popped out of my head when I saw that my sister, like me, was dressed in diapers and a short night shirt. It seemed she had actually got herself into trouble, when she told my Mom that ALL the girls babysitting me should be trained the same way. That “ALL” included her, so now she would be diapered through tomorrow after dinner. That was going to be very hard for her, I realized, since tomorrow she had cheerleading practice!!

That night we were put to bed at the same time, the only difference being that I was in a crib and she still had her bed. I did find out my mother put a plastic sheet on her bed though, when my sister complained about it crinkling under her. My mother told her to hush, it was for her own good in case her diapers leaked. She was also given a night time bottle, and told she better drink it all. I fell asleep while sucking on my own bottle of warm milk, thinking how it would be interesting not to be the only baby for the next several days.

Chapter 26

I awoke in the morning to two unfamiliar things. First, I had a wet diaper, and I couldn’t remember wetting it during the night. Up to now, I had always been aware of when I wet my diaper. I resolved to be more careful from now on and make sure I was aware of wetting my diapers, so I wouldn’t become dependant on them and need re-potty training.

The other unfamiliar thing was my sister crying. My mother had lead her into the nursery, and now had her up on the changing table with her nightshirt pushed up, revealing her entire diaper. I watched as my mother undid the tapes on the diaper. “Oh stop crying, it’s just a wet diaper!” my mother said to her.

“But it feels awful,” my sister whined. “And you’re making me wear them to school and practice! And he’s watching!” She indicated me.

Just be happy I’m not letting your little sister (she emphasized this word as she looked at me) change your diaper. How many of hers have you changed now? And at least I am letting you change your own diapers at school.” I wondered what would keep my sister from changing out of diapers at school, until my mother said, “And remember, I called your friend Wendy, and she is going to be checking to make sure you stay in your diapers and use them today. I told her why you are wearing them, and she’s not going to tell anyone else.”

I saw my sister had soaked the diaper as my mother pulled it open, and wondered if the plastic sheet on my sister’s bed had been necessary after all. “You should have messed this diaper overnight,” my mother commented. “Now you are going to have to do it in school.” I could see my sister had no intention of doing that, and would wait as long as she possibly could before going that way. My mother quickly cleaned and powdered my sister’s bottom, then reached under the changing table and pulled out one of my diapers. She unfolded it and slipped it under her, pulled the front through, and taped it snug.

Lifting her down from the table, my mother gave Trisha a light smack on her diaper and told her to go get dressed, “In the clothes I laid out for you.” Then she turned to me. “Your turn,” she said, picking me up and carrying me to the changing table. I had my baby doll sleeper lifted and my wet diaper removed quickly. “Goodness, you’re a heavy wetter at night,” my mother said, as she tickled me and made me giggle. “Maybe I need to get some even thicker diapers for you, at least at night.” I blushed as she chose one of the pink diapers to dress me in for the day. So far no one had seen these yet, since she had been using the unisex she had bought at BabyDays. I knew only the nurse at school would see this one, but how long would it be before Stacey would see me in the pink diapers? She sent me then to brush my teeth and hair, while she laid out my clothes for the day. With two babies, my mother had to let me have a little more independence in getting dressed than usual.

Once I was dressed and groomed, I went out to the dining room to see my sister in the high chair. My mother was spoon feeding her breakfast to her, she had a baby bottle of orange juice, and she was wearing a bib. I also had to work hard not to laugh when I saw her clothes. She was wearing a pink blouse and a green school jumper that she would NEVER have chosen to wear herself; she looked like a fifth-grader. After she was done eating, my mother sent her out the door and off to school, with another pat on her diaper.

Then I was lifted into the high chair and fed the same way. There was a knock on the door as I was eating, and my mother went to get it. Sarah and Stacey were there, having walked from their bus stop to meet me at my house and get on at my stop. Sarah smiled upon seeing me in my high chair; Stacey, as I expected, did not look very happy. “Our mothers sent us down to apologize for the way we’ve been babysitting,” Stacey said. “I’m sorry for messing things up so bad.”

“I’m sorry too,” said Sarah. “I’ve been hoping for a way to make it up, and I’ll gladly come down and be a baby with Vintonnt on Friday.” My mother had a look on her face that I could translate as meaning “I bet you will!”

“Sally would be here too, but she’s still getting dressed since her bus comes later,” Stacey said. “She’ll apologize on Sunday.” I felt a little bad about that, seeing as Sally really hadn’t done anything wrong. Her spanking had hurt, but I HAD deserved it, and at least it had only been on my diaper. She was actually the best babysitter of the three this past week. I decided to mention that later to my mother, who was now releasing me from the high chair so my Babysitters and I would not miss our bus.

Chapter 27

It was a quiet bus ride to school. Stacey looked upset, and I didn’t want to risk her wrath. Sarah attempted to keep up a steady stream of chatter at first but finally she gave up and lapsed into silence as well. When we got to school, I finally ventured a few words.

      “See you at lunch?”

Stacey stared at me for a minute. “You mean you still WANT to sit with us at lunch?”

I blushed and looked at the ground, and nodded.

“After all I’ve been doing to you??” Stacey asked.

I shrugged and nodded again. “Maybe you don’t have to tease me so much ...”

“Now wait a minute!” Stacey stopped me. “Wait…you get me in trouble for the way I treat you, but you still want to hang around me? What’s up with that?”

Sarah at this point leaned toward Stacey and whispered something in her ear, which promptly caused both girls to burst into giggles.

“What?” I asked. Neither would answer, although Stacey started to giggle again. “What’s so funny?”

“Nothing, Baby,” Stacey said to me. “See you at lunch.” The girls left me there, whispering to each other and giggling.

“What the hell was that all about?” a voice said behind me, making me jump.

“SHI. . .!! Leroy, you scared the crap out of me!” I said, realizing just how close to the truth that really was. He had scared the pee out of me, anyway.

“Sorry,” he said, sounding sincere. “What did you say they thought was so funny?” He indicated the two girls who were all the way down the hall by now.

“I have no clue,” I sighed, throwing my hands up in exasperation. “I don’t understand girls at ALL!”

Leroy chuckled at this, just as we heard, “Oh Vintoneeyyy!” I looked up in time to see Jennifer go by in her cheer uniform. She gave me a wink and a wave.

Leroy looked ready to jump off a building. “Come on, Slickster,” he said. “Two weeks ago they didn’t care about you anymore than they care about me. What did you DO?”

I shrugged. “Prayer works?” I suggested jokingly.

Leroy missed my humor completely. “Prayer? Really?  Yeah……PRAYER!” He took off down the hall, assumedly to go pray. I wondered idly if I should warn Helena she was about to go out with a complete nut case.

As I mused about that and gathered my books from my locker, I suddenly felt a hand pat my backside, causing me to jump and almost hit my head inside my locker.

“Sorry,” Jennifer giggled. Apparently she had circled around and come back to me. “Just checking,” she said with a wink. “I think someone is wet.”

I nodded. “I need to go get a diaper change,” I affirmed.

“So what’s going to happen tomorrow night?” Jennifer asked. “Your Mom said something about me being a baby like you, and if I did it, I can babysit you and my cousin Friday. I wasn’t about to miss that chance.”

I half shrugged. “That’s about it,” I said. “It’s an attempt to make sure my babysitters know what they are doing from now on. You’ll have to use diapers, wear baby clothes, and drink from a bottle…just stuff like that.”

“Ahh.” Jennifer nodded. “That’s umm…pretty heavy,” she said after a minute. “I have to USE the diapers, you say? Are you sure?”

      “99%,” I said.

“Hmm..well…hmm.  Okay,” she finally assented. “Could be interesting I guess. Just don’t tell anyone, okay?”

“Now why would I do a dumb thing like that?” I asked, nodding toward my own diaper.

“Yeah, well, I’m a CHEERLEADER,” she asserted, “and you have no idea what the others would do to me if they ever found out about this.”

We began walking to the nurse’s office. I was embarrassed as Jennifer walked right in with me. The nurse was surprised as well and asked Jennifer to wait for me outside. “Oh, I’m sure he doesn’t mind,” Jennifer said. “After all I am going to be babysitting him and changing his diapers myself Friday anyway.”

“Then you will see his diapers Friday,” the nurse told her, “And not before.” Jennifer sulkily turned and went outside to wait for me. “Wonder what she would have thought of these,” the nurse teased me after she pulled my pants down and revealed the pink diaper I was wearing.

When I came out, Jennifer had been joined by Kelly and Polly. “What were you doing in there?” Polly asked.

I nearly dropped the ball. “I…uhhhh…”

“MEDICINE,” Jennifer quickly saved me. “He had to take his medicine.”

“That required a locked door?” Polly asked. “The last time I knew of they locked the door was when Christine Hanson had to change her pants when her period started.” Kelly began laughing with Polly.

“Oh, and I guess you come down here a few times a day just to check and see if the door is locked,” Jennifer said.

      “No – I’m just saying…” Polly started.

“Never mind,” Jennifer stopped her. “The tardy bell rings in like one minute. Come on let’s get to home room!” The conversation stopped then as we hurried so as not to be late.

Chapter 28

When lunch came, I was surprised (and maybe a little let down) when no one came searching me out. I went down to the cafeteria by myself. Our school was a private school that had a church building connected to it, and you had to walk by the auditorium to get to the cafeteria. As I walked by, I looked through the glass doors and saw Leroy, his head bowed serenely in prayer. I hesitated, thought about telling him, then shook my head and continued to the lunchroom. A little prayer couldn’t hurt him anyway.

I went through the line and got my lunch, and as I came out the other door into the cafeteria, I scanned the room. At the usual round table over to the side, I saw Stacey’s green eyes riveted to mine. Sarah, sitting beside her, was also watching me, and appeared somewhat nervous. I looked to the other side of the room, and saw Jennifer also watching me. When Jennifer realized I knew she was looking my way, she broke her gaze and looked away. My eyes returned to the almost hypnotic stare Stacey was fixing me with. As she realized she had my attention, instead of looking away as Jennifer had done, she smiled.

That was all it took for me to make up my mind. I took my tray and walked to Stacey and Sarah’s table. As I neared the table, Sarah said something to Stacey I couldn’t make out, but I heard Stacey’s reply. “I never had a doubt.” Both girls began to giggle again. This made me somewhat nervous.

I sat down and as I did, I noted Stacey looking at my butt with obvious interest. Once I was seated, she turned to Sarah and asked, “Did you hear something crinkle just now?” I wondered if I was in for another round of humiliation, but that was the only comment either Stacey or Sarah made about my diapers or situation for the entire lunch period. The rest of the time was filled with their usual chatter, except they involved me in it as well.

As I left the cafeteria after lunch, Jennifer walked up to me, looking somewhat upset. “You tell me how much you hate the way she treats you, and then when you have a chance to get away from her you choose to eat lunch with her!! What’s up with that?”

I shrugged. “She apologized. They are being nice to me now. Mostly.”

She sighed. “They are SO sixth grade. Everyone is talking about it you know. Most guys in this school would give their right arm for the interest I have shown in you – you’re making me look bad!”

“That reminds me,” I said. “You think you could fix Polly up with Leroy?” Jennifer just stared at me. “No? Umm…how ‘bout Genelle?” I tried. Jennifer left in somewhat of a huff. I wasn’t so stupid that I didn’t realize making an enemy out of Jennifer would be very foolish on my part, and resolved to make it up to her on Thursday.

It wasn’t until the end of the day that I realized how much fire I was actually playing with.

“Slickster!” Leroy came running up to me. “Slickster! It WORKED!”

“What worked, Leroy?” I asked distractedly. Why doesn’t the combination lock on your school locker ever open on the first attempt?

      “Prayer, man!” he answered me.

I turned to face him. “Huh? What do you mean?”

“I’m talking about the power of prayer,” Leroy said excitedly. “You were actually right. I prayed every free minute I could get today. And just now, Genelle Foreman asked me to the end of the year dance. SHE asked ME!”

It took it a minute to sink in. “Genelle…asked you to the dance???” I asked him.

“Hello?  Anyone home?” Leroy waved his hand in front of my eyes. “That’s what I JUST said.”

I blinked. “Umm – yeah. Wow.  That’s great news Leroy, congratulations,”  I replied.

“Look – if you ask Jennifer she’ll probably say yes, and we can double,” Leroy said.

“That all depends on if I can prove I brought my grades up or not,” I told him. “I’m in a bit of trouble over that.” I didn’t tell him I thought about asking somebody else to the dance if I even COULD go.

“Well you better hurry,” Leroy warned. “A girl like Jennifer isn’t going to wait on you forever, you know.  …Oh SHIT!” He went running for the door, and I saw his bus was leaving.  He made it out just in time to be seen, and the bus stopped for him.

Chapter 29

On the bus, more evidence that Jennifer was playing hardball was evident. Stacey and Sarah were noticeably missing, and Jennifer had a seat saved for me. “Where are your little sixth grade girlfriends?” she asked me as I sat down.

I looked at her. “You tell me.” I only got a smug smile in return. “I wish you wouldn’t do that to them,” I said.

“Too late. You already got your wish for today,” she said. I didn’t even have to ask what she meant. I knew she had set it up for Genelle to ask Leroy to go to the dance. “Besides, I don’t know what you’re talking about. Would I do something to my little cousin and her best friend?” she asked with mock innocence.

Just as we were about to pull out, they both came running. “See?  There they are. They probably just couldn’t figure out how to open the bathroom door,” Jennifer said. I wondered what she had Kelly do to them this time.

Stacey was angrier than I had ever seen before. Sarah grabbed her arm, but she shook her off and made a beeline straight for our seat. She shoved in on my other side. Uh-oh.

“I know you’re responsible for this, bitch!” she said around me at Jennifer.

“Why Stacey, such language for a little sixth grader!” Jennifer sneered at her. “Better be careful or your Mommy will wash your mouth out with soap.”

“FU** OFF!” Stacey yelled at her. Others on the bus were now leaning toward our bus seat, watching with great interest. Poor Sarah was stuck sitting three rows up, and looked at me with pleading eyes.

“Excuse me???” Jennifer started to lean around me.

“All right, both of you, COOL IT!” I said, pushing them both back away from each other.

Both girls stared at me in shock. Stacey found her voice first. “And just who do you think YOU are, Baby?” she asked me.

Almost immediately her sentiments were echoed by Jennifer. “Watch who you talk to like that!” She stared at me for a minute, then angrily turned and stared out the window. I looked at Stacey, but she was sitting with her arms crossed, her angry green eyes staring straight ahead. In stark contrast, Sarah’s soft blue eyes smiled at me in thanks.

We were headed to Stacey’s house now, and I hoped her anger would either wear off by the time we got there, or that she would be angry enough to just leave my care up to Sarah and Sally.

Chapter 30

Both actually took place. Stacey didn’t seem to be as angry when we got to her house, but she simply went to her TV and began playing games on it. Sarah stared at her for a second, then with a shake of her head took me back to the bedroom.

Without even needing to be told to, I held my arms out so that Sarah could get my pants undone and pulled down. I stepped out of them as Sarah felt the back of my diaper with a small smile. “Yep, definitely time for a change,” she said with a wink.

I climbed up on the changing table and Sarah undid my diaper and cleaned me with some baby wipes after removing it. I think she still spent much more time than necessary cleaning certain areas, but I sure wasn’t going to complain. Just as Sarah was slipping a new diaper under me, Stacey came in with the wooden spoon.

“I think somebody needs to learn a little respect for HER babysitter,” she said, advancing on me. Sarah didn’t look happy about it, but she moved aside as Stacey walked up to me, swinging the spoon menacingly. She watched me for a minute, then finally let the spoon fall to her side. “Oh come on,” she said. “Aren’t you going to cry and plead for me not to spank you? A REAL baby would!” She looked very disappointed.

“I wasn’t going to spank you anyway,” she said with a sigh as she put the wooden spoon down. She reached forward and began to put the clean diaper on me. “But if you EVER talk to me like that again, I’ll pull you over my knee right then and there. I don’t care if you’re diapered and the bus is full or not.”

Now Sarah looked angry. “Wait a minute, Stacey,” she said. “If anyone deserved a spanking for the way she acted on the bus today, it’s you. Do you even want to imagine what your Mom would do if she knew what you said?”

“No worse than yours would do to you if she knew how you change his diaper,” Stacey said calmly. Sarah stared in shock for a minute, before both she and Stacey broke down in giggles. “We’re probably both gonna get spanked in the next couple of days anyways, while we are ‘babies’,” Stacey finally stated.

“Yeah,” Sarah agreed nodding. Stacey was by now helping me off the changing table and leading me to the crib for my nap. “I’ve been more than a little worried about that,” she went on as Stacey put the side on the crib up.

“Worried? Why are you worried?” Stacey asked as she sat on the bed. “If we get spanked, we get spanked. No amount of worry will change whether you get spanked.  Believe me, I know,” she giggled.

“Well, I don’t know what it is like,” Sarah said nervously. “I’ve never been spanked...”

“Oh my gosh! You’ve NEVER had a spanking?” Stacey interrupted, shocked. I was surprised myself. Sarah shook her head. “Ahh.  I would say you are in for quite an experience then,” Stacey began to giggle. “If you’ve always been spanked, like me, then it isn’t such a big deal by now. Still hurts but at least you know what to expect, even if you never do get USED to it. But if you’ve NEVER had one...wow.” She started giggling again.

Sarah did not appear amused. “Let’s let the baby get some sleep,” she said, getting up to leave.

Stacey had that look of mischief in her eyes. She picked up the wooden spoon. “Hey, Sarah. Want me to help you get ready for being spanked?” she asked. Sarah turned around, let out somewhat of an “eep!” and took off running, Stacey right behind her with the spoon, swinging at her bottom.
